I would not state the program's name since I am not allowed nor paid to advertise this, it's just that I'm just happy that I saw one of my applications over the net and be recognized as one of the best.
The project started last year and I was one of the programmers assigned in the product. It is compose of four parts(original names of the application was not used): the game simulator, the video analyzer, the server side storage and the wrapper(generally just a wrapper that connects the other three). I was the one assigned to the video analyzer which is basically one of the most important part of the whole application.
So here is the video of the said application:
*Video was uploaded by Organic Sales at Vimeo.com. Original video URL is http://vimeo.com/28180393
As the video says, it is a simulator for a sport's game. It gives the user the ability the analyze the physics behind the sport and it also allows user to actually play the said game inside a room or remotely with other players from different parts of the world. Yup, you read it right, you can play with other people even if they are not physically with you. As far as I know, the said product is being used or shown on US and Korea and the said product can be adjusted to it's local language. I can still remember the translation I created, I translated "Are you sure you want to exit?" to "Siguradong lalabas ka na?" and "Save the files" to "Isalba ang papeles". LOL
The application uses the latest RIA technology or Rich Internet Application which in layman's term is a hybrid application between web and desktop application. Actually it is considered as web application that has characteristics similar to a desktop application. This technology according to techy people may become the threat to websites and so far it has also starting to conquer the mobile technology. As for me, I'm having good time to this kind of programming since it gives web developer the ability to create desktop applications with their current knowledge.
Again, I'm just to happy to share this to everyone! So to my program, little buddy, you made me really really proud! :)
Congratulations Aj! Wooooow I'm so proud of you. This is so great I'm into programming but I can't do something like this. Hats off to you Buddy!
